Kathmandu – According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the current weather in Nepal is being influenced by westerly winds and local winds. Additionally, moist air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea is having a partial effect.
At present, the western part of Madhesh Province, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, along with the hilly regions of the country, are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country has mostly clear to partly cloudy weather. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is occurring at some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
Afternoon Forecast:
This afternoon, partly to generally cloudy skies are expected in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces as well as the hilly regions of the country. Other areas will have mostly clear to partly cloudy weather.
Possible Impacts:
- Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces as well as a few places in the rest of the country.
- Light snowfall is also possible at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.

Due to the possibility of rainfall, lightning, and snowfall, the Department has advised the public to take necessary precautions, as it could impact:
- Daily life
- Agricultural activities
- Health services
- Road and air transport
