A passenger bus met with an accident in Pouwathok, Ward No. 8 of Bhumlu Rural Municipality, Kavrepalanchok, injuring 23 people.
According to the District Police Office of Kavrepalanchok, the bus (Ba 3 Kha 8408), which was en route to Kathmandu from Dorakhani of Ramechhap, crashed into a roadside wall after its brakes failed.
Out of the 32 passengers on board, 23 sustained injuries. Deputy Superintendent of Police Min Bahadur Ghale informed that the identities and addresses of the injured are yet to be confirmed. All injured passengers have been sent to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.
The bus remains at the accident site, and the driver is currently in custody at the Dolalghat Police Post.
