The Election Commission has approved the schedule for the by-election in Rupandehi Constituency No. 3, set to take place on Kartik 17, 2082 (November 3, 2025).
According to EC spokesperson and joint secretary Neeta Pokharel Aryal, the nomination of candidates will take place on Ashoj 21 (October 7) from 10 AM to 5 PM at the office of the election officer. The initial list of candidates will be published the same evening between 5 PM and 7 PM.
Objections against candidates can be filed on Ashoj 22 (October 8) between 10 AM and 3 PM. The verification and decision process regarding nominations and objections will be conducted from 3 PM on Ashoj 22 to 5 PM on Ashoj 23 (October 9). The final list of candidates will be published on the evening of Ashoj 23, from 5 PM to 7 PM.
