Five Parliamentary Committees to Convene Meetings Today

Five different committees of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to hold meetings today, as per the pre-arranged agenda.

According to Ramhari Thapa, Secretary of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, the committee will hold discussions with the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on the topic of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR).

The Women and Social Affairs Committee will deliberate on the Annual Report of the Madhesi Commission for Fiscal Year 2080/81.

The Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee has scheduled a theoretical discussion on the Media Council Bill.

Meanwhile, the Legislation Management Committee will conduct a clause-wise discussion on the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081.

The Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee will discuss a report related to national parks.

These meetings reflect the ongoing legislative and oversight activities within the Parliament as various committees engage in key policy and legal discussions.
