The CPN (Unified Socialist) has instructed all its district committees to organize various programs across the country to mark the 47th Memorial Day of Pushpalal Shrestha, the founding General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal. The party has also urged its affiliated organizations abroad to commemorate the day in a respectful manner.

The Pushpalal Memorial Foundation, closely associated with the party, has announced a series of events including a tribute ceremony, interaction session, and book launch at Pushpalal Garden located in Champadevi, Ward No. 4 of Kirtipur Municipality.

Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and head of the foundation, will deliver a presentation during the program highlighting the status, direction, and challenges of the Nepali communist movement within the broader context of the global communist movement.

According to the party, discussions will also include the need for unity among leftist forces, ideological deviations within the communist leadership, the current political situation of the country, and the evolving role of the communist parties.

On the occasion, activities such as cleaning campaigns, tree plantation, blood donation, and interactive sessions will also be held, as informed by Damodar Aryal, Deputy Chief of the party’s Central Publicity Department.
