CIAA The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has begun questioning former Minister Rajkumar Gupta on Tuesday in connection with a bribery case. Gupta had recently resigned after being implicated in an audio recording scandal related to corruption.
A team of investigation officers from the CIAA is conducting the interrogation, focusing on the leaked audio that allegedly captures a conversation involving Gupta about a transfer deal of the Chief Land Revenue Officer in Kaski. The commission plans to proceed with further investigative steps following the inquiry.
According to sources, the CIAA is preparing to conduct a forensic analysis by comparing Gupta’s voice sample with the voice in the leaked audio that was circulated on social media. The audio, which emerged last week, features a conversation between Gupta and a man believed to be a middleman discussing the transfer of a key official.
