Investor Dipendra Agrawal Remanded for Three Days Over Fraud Allegations

Share market investor Dipendra Agrawal has been remanded to three days in police custody by the Kathmandu District Court.

Agrawal, who was arrested on Monday, faces allegations of fraud and breach of trust. According to police, he is accused of deceiving individual investors and securities brokerage firms through his share trading activities.

A complaint had also been lodged at the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) regarding Agrawal’s trading practices. He is suspected of operating multiple TMS (Trading Management System) accounts, a matter currently under investigation by SEBON.

Further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the alleged fraud.
