Monsoon conditions continue to influence weather across Nepal as the monsoon trough remains close to its average position, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
On Tuesday afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, particularly in the hilly regions, as well as in a few other parts of the country. A possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces has also been forecast.
Likewise, during the night, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout Nepal. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur in several places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, including hilly areas. One or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may also experience heavy rainfall.
The Meteorological Division has advised the public to stay alert, especially in areas at risk of landslides and flooding due to possible intense rain.
