A meeting of the National Assembly of the Federal Parliament is scheduled for 1:15 PM today at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
According to the scheduled agenda, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Bhagawati Neupane, will present a proposal to send the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080—received from the House of Representatives with a message—for clause-wise discussion to the Legislative Management Committee.
Similarly, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is set to propose that the Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081, also received from the House of Representatives, be forwarded to the Legislative Management Committee for detailed discussion.
Additionally, oral questions related to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Home Affairs will be addressed by the respective ministers during the session.
Three House committees under the House of Representatives are also holding meetings today. The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will discuss the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in coordination with the National Human Rights Commission.
The Women and Social Affairs Committee is set to deliberate on the current status of Nepali women workers in foreign employment.
The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will continue its ongoing discussion on the Media Council Bill with proposed amendments. The committee has been holding a series of meetings to discuss this bill.
