According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the five Nepalis arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday with the help of the Honorary Consul of Nepal in Tehran and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), following a release order issued by an Iranian court.
The ministry expressed its gratitude to the Government of India, relevant authorities of the Government of Iran, the Honorary Consul of Nepal in Tehran, and the IOM for their cooperation, active involvement, and goodwill in the process.
Additionally, the ministry stated that a total of nine Nepali nationals have been repatriated from Iran in three phases during the conflict between Israel and Iran, with the assistance of the Government of India.
