Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, departed for China on Thursday to attend the high-level World AI Conference in Shanghai. The conference, scheduled to be held from July 25 to 27 (Sawan 10 to 12), will bring together ministers, secretaries, and high-ranking officials from around the world to discuss strategic issues related to Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to his personal secretary, Surath Pokharel, Minister Gurung left for China at 11:30 PM. He is accompanied by IT Advisor Dr. Shaligram Parajuli and Personal Secretary Bikram Neupane.
Dr. Parajuli expressed that the conference will help in developing a shared understanding of key AI issues. Minister Gurung is expected to return to Nepal on July 29 (Sawan 14).
