Oli Himself Raised Allegations of Four Wives and Cooperative Fraud Against Madan Bhandari: Prachanda

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has strongly criticized the UML leadership, claiming that the party is facing a deep ideological, political, and leadership crisis. Speaking at a program organized by the Unified All Nepal Teachers’ Organization in Kathmandu on Saturday, he took a dig at former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli over recent remarks.

Prachanda said, “Recently, during a memorial program related to Madan Bhandari, the Prime Minister himself started talking about Madan Bhandari having four wives and being accused of cooperative fraud. This process is definitely deepening now.”

Expressing concern about the UML’s leadership crisis, he added, “The UML, which was based on Madan Bhandari and the ideology of People’s Multiparty Democracy, is now facing a serious succession crisis. This crisis seems to be growing further.”

He compared the situation with the Nepali Congress, saying, “Even in Congress, there is a lack of strong ideological and political leadership like Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala or later Girija Prasad Koirala. But within the UML, the crisis is even bigger.”

According to Prachanda, former President Bidya Bhandari is also trying to present herself as the true successor of Madan Bhandari and the People’s Multiparty Democracy.
