Search Continues for 16 Missing Members of a Family from Golanjor Rural Municipality, Sindhuli

The search is ongoing for 16 members of a single family who have gone missing from Golanjor Rural Municipality-6 in Sindhuli. They have reportedly been missing for the past four days from their home located near Bhandas Bippar Kateri in Chetpa.

The police began their search after being informed late by locals. So far, they have not been able to locate the missing individuals. However, the police stated that the last known location of one family member was traced to Ramechhap.

Local representatives said that due to the house being in an isolated location and irregular contact with neighbors, the disappearance was only noticed after a delay. Among the missing are Urmila Hayu, her six sons, six daughters, one daughter-in-law, one grandson, and one granddaughter. Locals also mentioned that last Thursday, the family had slaughtered a pig at their home. It is also reported that the family had recently received social allowance benefits from the local government.

According to police, chickens, goats, and buffaloes raised by the Hayu family were found abandoned at their home. The condition of the house suggests the family left suddenly, locals reported.
