The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index recorded a slight decline today, falling by 12.07 points to close at 2,962.13. During the day’s trading session, a total of 44.12 million shares from 321 different companies were bought and sold, generating a turnover of approximately NPR 19.36 billion, according to NEPSE.
Among the top gainers were Samata Gharelu Laghubitta, which surged by 9.99%, followed by Sanvi Energy with a 9.92% rise, and Trade Tower Limited, which gained 9.53%. On the losing side, Bindhyabasini Hydro saw the biggest drop, declining by 8.49%. In terms of turnover, Shivam Cement led the market with transactions worth NPR 925.78 million, followed by Himalayan Distillery with NPR 789.9 million.
