Dolpa, July 28 – Four individuals trapped in the middle of the Bheri River at Dhuipchaur, Ward No. 3 of Thulibheri Municipality in Dolpa district, were safely rescued by the Armed Police Force (APF) of Nepal.
The rescued individuals have been identified as 33-year-old Lalit Bohora, 26-year-old Nand Prasad Bohora, 35-year-old Lal Kumar Budha, and 37-year-old Shyam Lal Bohora, all residents of Tripura Sundari Municipality–6, Palung, in the same district.
According to authorities, the group had gone to collect firewood on the morning of Saun 13 (July 28), when the water level of the river suddenly rose, leaving them stranded on a small landmass in the middle of the river.
Upon receiving the information, a disaster response team from APF Nepal No. 46 Battalion, Dolpa, under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Deepak Raj Bhatt, was deployed for the rescue mission. The team successfully brought all four individuals to safety.
Following the rescue, they were sent to the District Hospital Dolpa for medical evaluation. Their condition is reported to be normal.
