Today, five different parliamentary committees of the Federal Parliament of Nepal are holding meetings to discuss various legislative and national issues. The Agriculture, Cooperative, and Natural Resources Committee under the House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 11:30 AM, where discussions will focus on the Land (Eighth Amendment) Bill, 2082. The meeting will include the presence of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Minister Balaram Adhikari, officials from the Land Commission, and experts from the land, forest, and legal sectors.
Additionally, a joint meeting of the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee and the Agriculture, Cooperative, and Natural Resources Committee will be held at 1:00 PM. The agenda includes discussions on the draft of the Sixth National Human Rights Action Plan and the Nepal Bar Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081.
In the National Assembly, the Good Governance Committee will meet at 11:30 AM to review the ministry’s efforts in addressing drinking water issues across various regions, including Madhesh Province. Meanwhile, the Legislation Management Committee will convene at 1:00 PM for a clause-wise discussion on the Water Resources Bill, 2081. At 11:00 AM, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee will hold talks with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation regarding the progress, challenges, and expectations surrounding national pride projects under the ministry.
