Sindhuli – Two people died and three others were injured in Sindhuli’s Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality–1, Bastipur, after a tree fell on them due to a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall on Thursday afternoon.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Suryaprakash Subedi of the District Police Office, a sal tree collapsed onto a makeshift shelter, killing 9-year-old Sarki Thing and 16-year-old Shanta Gole on the spot.
Similarly, 14-year-old Sirjana Maya, 15-year-old Sandhya Bholan, and 7-year-old Sushil Thing were injured in the incident. All three have been taken to Hetauda Hospital for treatment, police said.
