A teenage girl working at a Sekuwa and Mo:Mo center in Kailali has been stabbed to death, police confirmed.
The victim, 17-year-old Yachana Sejwal of Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-3, was working at the Rajdhani Sekuwa and Mo:Mo Center in Bardagoriya-1 when the incident occurred.
According to District Police Office spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajkumar Singh, the incident took place around 10 a.m. on Saturday. The accused, 33-year-old Nrip Saud of Bardagoriya-1, who also worked at the same establishment, allegedly attacked Sejwal with a knife.
Sejwal was critically injured in the attack and was rushed to Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Police have taken Saud into custody, though the motive behind the stabbing remains unclear. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
