NEPSE Rises by 53 Points, Turnover Crosses Rs 7.68 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index surged by 53 points on Wednesday. At market close, NEPSE had increased by 1.91 percent, reaching 2,819.10 points. Along with the rise in the index, the daily transaction volume also climbed.

On Wednesday, a total of 149,861,142 shares worth Rs 7.68 billion were traded.

By the close of trading, share prices of 232 companies had gained, while 19 companies witnessed a decline. No company’s share price remained unchanged. A total of 321 companies were traded in 72,528 transactions throughout the day.

Out of 13 sub-indices, all recorded gains, with the Development Bank group posting the highest increase, according to NEPSE.
