The Nepali national cricket team, currently on a tour of Australia, secured victory in its final one-day practice match by defeating South Australia by 2 wickets.
Chasing a target of 243 runs, Nepal reached the mark in 44.1 overs at the loss of 8 wickets. Captain Rohit Paudel led the team to victory with a brilliant century, scoring 101 runs, while Sompal Kami contributed 38 runs.
Earlier, after losing the toss and being sent to bat, South Australia posted 242 runs in 45 overs before being bowled out.
In bowling, Sompal Kami and Nandan Yadav starred for Nepal, taking 3 wickets each.
The match was part of Nepal’s preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers scheduled for October.
