Due to tensions arising from a Gen-Z protest, the District Administration Office has imposed a curfew in the Banishwar area.
According to Section 6(k) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, Chief District Officer Chhabilal Rizal has ordered the curfew from 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM on Monday.
Areas under curfew:
- From Banishwar Chowk westward to Bijulibazar Bridge via Everest Hotel.
- From Banishwar Chowk eastward to Tinakune Chowk via Min Bhawan and Shantinagar.
- From Banishwar Chowk northward to Ratnarajya Secondary School via iPlex Mall.
- From Banishwar Chowk southward to Shankhamul Bridge via Shankhamul slope.
