Tribhuvan International Airport, which has been closed since Tuesday afternoon due to increased smoke over the airport and Kathmandu Valley, will remain shut until 6:00 PM today.
According to the airport spokesperson, Rinji Sherpa, all flights are suspended until further notice, but emergency and medical flights will still operate.
Earlier, the airport had been scheduled to remain closed only until 12:00 PM today.
