Congress leader and former lawmaker Abhishek Pratap Shah has filed a murder case against outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli through the District Administration Office in Kathmandu.
Shah submitted a written complaint to Chief District Officer Dil Kumar Tamang, who confirmed that the document would be forwarded to the concerned authorities. Shah accused Oli of ordering security forces to open fire during the Gen-Z protests, which resulted in multiple deaths.
So far, 51 people have lost their lives in the demonstrations. Oli faced widespread criticism over the crackdown and ultimately resigned from his post as Prime Minister.
