Baglung – Continuous rainfall has disrupted traffic along the Baglung section of the Kaligandaki Corridor, a project of national pride.
According to District Police Office Baglung spokesperson Keshav Thapa, landslides at Kalakhola Bagar in Baglung Municipality–13 and Belbagar in Jaimini Municipality–8 have blocked the road, bringing vehicular movement to a halt.
Authorities said landslides have frequently occurred in the Kalakhola area, and clearing the debris has been difficult due to ongoing rainfall. The Kaligandaki Corridor Project, construction contractors, and Baglung Municipality are expected to begin road clearance efforts once the rain subsides.
