India Defeats Pakistan by 5 Wickets to Win Record 9th Asia Cup Title

India clinched the Asia Cup for a record ninth time after defeating Pakistan by five wickets.

Winning the toss, India opted to bowl first. Brilliant bowling from Kuldeep Yadav saw Pakistan bundled out for 146 runs in 19.1 overs.

Chasing a target of 147, India reached 150 runs in 19.4 overs with the loss of five wickets. Tilak Varma played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 69 runs off 53 balls, hitting three fours and four sixes. Rinku Singh sealed the victory with a winning boundary. For India, Shivam Dube scored 33, Sanju Samson 24, and Shubman Gill 12 runs.

For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf took 3 wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed claimed one each.

Earlier, batting first after losing the toss, Pakistan were all out for 146 runs in 19.1 overs. Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 57, Fakhar Zaman made 46, and Saim Ayub added 14 runs. For India, Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel picked up two wickets each.

Tilak Varma was named Player of the Match, while Abhishek Sharma was declared the Player of the Tournament.
