The District Administration Office, Kavrepalanchok, has announced the closure of BP Highway during nighttime hours following increased risks of heavy rainfall and disasters.
According to the notice, heavy rainfall is expected from Ashwin 17 to 20. Therefore, from Thursday, Ashwin 16 to Tuesday, Ashwin 21, the BP Highway section from Kavre Bhanjyang–Bhakundebesi–Sindhuli will remain closed to all public and private vehicles from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Only ambulances and vehicles providing essential services will be allowed to operate.
The office has urged travelers to exercise maximum caution while traveling. In a notice issued by Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal, passengers and local residents have been requested to take necessary safety precautions.
