Two people have died after being injured in a bus-scooter collision at Bimalnagar, Bandipur Rural Municipality–4, Tanahun, along the Prithvi Highway.
According to the District Police Office, Tanahun, the deceased have been identified as 28-year-old Punaram Gurung and 32-year-old Manoj Gurung, both residents of Dharche Rural Municipality–7, Gorkha.
The accident occurred on Saturday when a bus (Ga 1 Kha 9708) heading toward Dumre from Aanbukhaireni collided with a scooter (Ga 26 Pa 9287) coming from the opposite direction.
Scooter rider Punaram Gurung died on the same day of the accident, while Manoj Gurung, who was seriously injured, passed away on Tuesday during treatment at Chitwan Medical College, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shravan Kumar Bik.
