Nepal Stock Market Falls by 18.40 Points to 2,487 — Lowest Level Since Last Year

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 18.40 points on Thursday, closing at 2,487 points, marking the lowest level since Ashoj 13 last year. The market has been on a continuous downward trend over the past few days.

During today’s trading session, the share prices of 45 companies increased, while 197 declined, and 9 remained unchanged.

Despite the fall in the index, the trading volume increased slightly. NEPSE reported a total turnover of NPR 3.27 billion, compared to NPR 3.10 billion the previous day.

Among the sectoral indices, only the banking sector rose slightly by 0.02%, while all other sectors declined.
