Defending UEFA Champions League champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) suffered a 2–1 defeat at home against German powerhouse Bayern Munich.
Bayern’s Colombian winger Luis Díaz delivered a brilliant performance, scoring twice in the 4th and 32nd minutes to give his team a strong 2–0 lead.
However, during injury time in the first half, Díaz was shown a direct red card for a dangerous tackle on a PSG player, forcing Bayern to play the entire second half with just 10 men.
Taking advantage of the extra player, PSG applied heavy pressure throughout the second half. Substitute João Neves finally pulled one back for PSG in the 74th minute, reigniting hopes for a comeback.
Despite being a man down, Bayern’s disciplined and resolute defense held firm, denying PSG an equalizer and securing a vital away victory.
