English club Liverpool brought an end to Spanish giants Real Madrid’s perfect winning streak in this season’s UEFA Champions League. In an exciting clash at Anfield last night, Liverpool secured a 1–0 victory over Real Madrid.
Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister scored the only and decisive goal of the match with a superb header in the 61st minute.
Despite an impressive performance from Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who repeatedly denied Liverpool’s attacks, he was unable to stop Mac Allister’s powerful header. Meanwhile, Real Madrid failed to capitalize on the few scoring opportunities they created.
