Nepal’s national cricket team captain Rohit Kumar Paudel has achieved a remarkable milestone in one-day international (ODI) cricket.
Rohit has become the first Nepali batter to score 2,000 runs in ODI cricket. He reached this milestone after scoring two runs against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match held in the UAE.
In that match, Rohit faced seven balls and added only two runs to his name, but it was enough to mark this historic achievement.
So far, Rohit has scored 2,000 runs in 76 matches and 72 innings for Nepal. His tally includes two centuries and eleven half-centuries.
Rohit is also the first and only Nepali batter to score two centuries in ODI cricket, further cementing his place as one of Nepal’s most successful cricketers.
