The Nepal Communist Party (CPN) led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ is organizing a mass rally and demonstration at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, today (Thursday).
The party is preparing for a large public turnout in the capital this afternoon. Recently, the Biplav-led CPN registered with the Election Commission to participate in the upcoming elections, making this its first major public gathering since coming into the legal political fold.
After years of underground politics, the party’s move to engage in peaceful democratic competition is being viewed as a significant political development.
