The Nepali team registered an impressive victory over host nation Sri Lanka in the ongoing CAVA Women’s U-19 Championship being held in Sri Lanka.
Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 3–1 in sets, winning with scores of 25–18, 26–24, 19–25, and 25–20.
Earlier, Nepal had lost its opening match against Kyrgyzstan by 3–2, with set scores of 22–25, 25–14, 18–25, 25–22, and 15–9 in favor of Kyrgyzstan.
A total of four teams are participating in the championship. After the round-robin league stage, the top-ranked team will face the fourth, and the second will play against the third in the semifinals.
The final and the third-place match are scheduled to take place on Kartik 23.
