CPN-UML to File Petition at Supreme Court Against Parliament Dissolution

The CPN-UML has decided to file a writ petition at the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the Parliament.

A meeting of the dissolved parliamentary party held today concluded that there is no alternative to the restoration of Parliament, and therefore decided to move forward with the petition. UML has assigned Mahesh Bartoula and Sunita Baral to file the case at the Supreme Court.

The party has called upon all parliamentary parties active in the unconstitutionally dissolved House of Representatives, all political parties, civil society, various organizations, and Nepali citizens from all sectors and professions to oppose the unconstitutional dissolution of Parliament.

UML has also decided to actively participate in public demonstrations and programs organized in support of nationalism, independence, sovereignty, the Constitution, and the democratic system.
