A surveyor and an assistant from the Birgunj Land Revenue (Napi) Office have been arrested.
According to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), they were taken into custody while accepting a bribe of Rs. 100,000 from a service seeker.
Those arrested are Rampramod Raut, a surveyor at the Birgunj Land Revenue Office, and Arun Prasad Upadhyay, an office assistant from the Napi team in Adarshnagar.
A team deployed from the CIAA’s Tangal office apprehended them on Monday from the Napi office located in Adarshnagar, Birgunj Metropolitan City-3.
