The tense situation along the Thailand-Cambodia border has taken a more dangerous turn, with fresh clashes resulting in 12 additional deaths, Cambodian officials reported on Saturday.
So far, the death toll from the ongoing conflict has reached 32 in total, including both military personnel and civilians. Reports indicate that around 130 people have been injured in the clashes.
The violence has forced thousands of residents from both countries’ border areas to seek safety. According to Thailand’s Ministry of Health, over 58,000 people have been evacuated from the affected districts, while Cambodian authorities stated that approximately 23,000 people have been displaced from their homes.
