Syangja, Aug 5: The Syangja–Parbat road section remains obstructed for over 24 hours after a landslide struck Dumrebhanjyang in Waling Municipality–14 on Monday morning. Continuous rainfall over the past three days triggered multiple landslides, severely affecting road connectivity.
According to Ward Chairperson Bodhraj Kunwar (Raju), clearing efforts on Monday were hindered by massive debris. With rainfall subsiding today, work to resume road access has started.
The blockage has stranded travelers, particularly those heading towards Parbat’s southern regions like Pakuwa and Byadi via Waling. Most rural roads in Syangja have been disrupted by the relentless downpour.
Syangja’s Acting Chief District Officer Deepak Paudel has urged people to avoid night travel and stay away from flooded areas and riverbanks.
