Indefinite Prohibitory Order Issued in Rupandehi

The District Administration Office, Rupandehi, has imposed an indefinite prohibitory order.

On Monday, following Gen Z demonstrations and incidents of vandalism in various parts of the district, the administration had initially enforced a curfew until 10 p.m. However, citing security concerns, Chief District Officer Dr. Tokaraj Pandey announced that starting from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the prohibitory order will remain in effect across the district until further notice.

According to the notice, gatherings of more than five people for protests, sit-ins, rallies, demonstrations, or assemblies are strictly prohibited. The administration has also warned that anyone violating the order or obstructing its enforcement will face action in accordance with prevailing laws.
