The much-anticipated Nepali film Jerry On Top, scheduled for release on October 17 (Asoj 31) during the Tihar festival, has officially begun its promotional campaign with the unveiling of its first-look posters. Production company Ananya Films Pvt. Ltd. released three posters on Thursday, offering a glimpse into the film’s storyline and leading characters.
The posters feature lead actor Anmol KC alongside actresses Aanchal Sharma and Jassita Gurung. One of the posters shows Anmol and Jassita dressed as mountain climbers, hinting at an adventurous theme. In another poster, Anmol appears in a romantic pose with both actresses, suggesting that the story involves a love triangle.
Directed by Suyog Gurung, the film boasts a strong cast including comedian Kedar Ghimire (Magne Buda), veteran actor Bhuwan KC, actresses Sushma Pant and Usha Khadki, along with the three leads. Notably, Bhuwan KC plays the role of Anmol’s father in the film, reflecting their real-life relationship.
Producer Saroj Neupane stated that the released posters are just the beginning, with more surprises from the film to be revealed gradually. He described the posters as the result of immense hard work and dedication from the entire team.
The film was shot in some of Nepal’s most scenic and iconic locations, including Everest Base Camp, Kathmandu, and Mustang. Some scenes were filmed on a set constructed in Kathmandu at a cost of nearly NPR 10 million, showcasing the film’s large production scale.
The story is written by Hemraj BC, with a screenplay by Bishwas Timilsina and cinematography by Dulip Regmi. The music has been composed by Kali Prasad Baskota, Jayen J. Waiba, Johan Chamling Rai, and Brijesh Shrestha. The producers are Robin Sherchan, Ram Krishna Shrestha, and Deepak Bhandari, with Anuradha Giri and Ishwar Shrestha as executive producers and Naveen Ghimire, Bibek Thapa, and Bhavishya Khadka as associate producers.
International screening rights (excluding Australia) have been acquired by LG Associates in Hong Kong, while distribution within Nepal will be handled by Reech Entertainment and FD Company. Jerry On Top promises to deliver a compelling blend of romance, adventure, and emotional storytelling during Nepal’s festive movie season.
