A passenger Hiace vehicle traveling from Nepalgunj, Banke, to Chaurjahari in Rukum West met with an accident in Salyan district. The accident occurred today (Thursday) around 12 noon near Neta, Ward No. 2 of Kumakh Rural Municipality.
According to Inspector Dharmendra Khadka of the Area Police Office, Ragechaur, police were immediately deployed to the scene following the accident report. Several passengers have been reported seriously injured.
Passenger Om KC, who is involved in the rescue operation, stated that the vehicle lost control at the upper bend near Neta and ended up at the lower bend. The driver, Paras Acharya, along with approximately twelve passengers, were injured, some critically.
Chaurjahari Municipality police and ambulance services have been dispatched to assist with the rescue and medical aid. The full details of the accident are yet to be confirmed, and rescue efforts are ongoing, the police reported.
