Sudhan Gurung, the coordinator of Hamro Nepal, has expressed anger toward Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, questioning why only Nicholas Bhushal was arrested while Mahesh Basnet was spared.
Posting on social media, Gurung wrote:
“What difference did you see between the statements of Nicholas Bhushal and Mahesh Basnet, Home Minister? Why was only Nicholas arrested? Or have you started following the Oli government’s pattern of protecting the powerful?”
Gurung said his statement came out of frustration after repeatedly raising questions behind closed doors. He also remarked that the ongoing Gen Z movement appears to be losing momentum.
“This expression comes after getting tired of asking questions behind closed doors. It feels like the movement is losing,” he wrote.
