The meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to take place at 1 PM on Friday at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
According to the agenda, Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Raghuraj Pant, will present a proposal to consider the Tilganga Eye University Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly.
The bill was registered in the National Assembly on Ashar 4, 2081 (June 18, 2024), and was passed on Chaitra 4, 2081 (March 17, 2025).
The purpose of the bill is to establish and operate a university as a center of academic excellence in the field of eye health. The institution aims to provide education, teaching, and research in ophthalmology, deliver specialized eye health services, and promote the development and expansion of cutting-edge technologies related to eye care.
