A man died in a road accident on the BP Highway early this morning. The incident occurred at Sitalpati in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-6, Sindhuli, when a pickup van traveling from Kathmandu to Bardibas veered off the road and fell about 500 meters down a slope.
According to the District Police Office, Sindhuli, the deceased has been identified as Dharmaraj Regmi, a resident of Manahari Rural Municipality-4, Makwanpur. The vehicle was being driven by his brother, Niroj Regmi.
Dharmaraj sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Sunkoshi Community Hospital in Khurkot for treatment, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, driver Niroj Regmi is undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Prakash Subedi.
