The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. According to the party’s Chief Secretary, Krishna Prasad Poudel, the meeting—which was supposed to take place at 2 PM on Saturday—has been rescheduled for Monday, Mangsir 1, at 2 PM. He informed that, as per the directive, office bearers, members of the Central Working Committee, invited members, and presidents of all seven provincial committees have been requested to attend the meeting.

The CPN (UML) is organizing demonstrations and mass assemblies across all 77 districts on Saturday. Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has requested an extension of the voter registration deadline. During a telephone conversation with Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari, Prime Minister Karki urged for an extension, citing the increasing enthusiasm and pressure seen in the voter registration process. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Commissioner Bhandari informed her that the Election Commission is positive about the request and that the deadline could be extended by five days. The three groups reached a five-point agreement today.
