Companies affected during the Gen-Z protests of September 8–9 (Bhadra 23–24) have begun filing insurance claims in large numbers. According to the Nepal Insurance Authority, as of September 16 (Bhadra 31), a total of 1,984 claims worth Rs 20.7 billion have been lodged with 18 non-life insurance companies, including micro-insurance providers. Kathmandu – Sagar Distillery Limited has opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for the general public starting today.
