Gold prices in the Nepali market saw a further increase on Sunday. After crossing NPR 200,000 per tola on Friday, gold prices rose by an additional NPR 3,000 per tola, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association. As of Sunday, gold is being traded at NPR 203,600 per tola, marking the highest price recorded so far. Last week, on Friday, gold was traded at NPR 200,600 per tola. Silver prices also increased on Sunday. The association reported that silver, which was traded at NPR 2,360 per tola on Friday, is now being traded at NPR 2,425 per tola.
The price of gold has reached a new record in the local market. Compared to Thursday, the price of gold per tola increased by NPR 1,200, while silver of the same quantity rose by NPR 5. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, today the price of one tola of gold is set at NPR 260,000, and silver of the same quantity is being traded at NPR 2,360. On Thursday, one tola of gold was traded at NPR 199,400, and silver at NPR 2,355. According to international media, gold is being traded at USD 3,408 per ounce today.
In the Nepali market, the price of gold on Thursday approached Rs 200,000 per tola. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of standard gold reached Rs 199,400 per tola, up from Rs 199,000 per tola on Wednesday, marking an increase of Rs 400. Bhandipur Cable Car & Tourism has opened its initial public offering (IPO) for the general public starting today.
