The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the monsoon remained active across the country over the past 12 hours, bringing light to moderate rainfall to most areas. Moderate rainfall was recorded in several parts of Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces. However, some areas in eastern Nepal experienced heavy downpour. Rain measurement centers in Gaighat of Udayapur, Damak, and Anarmani of Jhapa recorded very heavy rainfall during the night. As a result of the intense rain, water levels in rivers and streams in these areas have increased. The department has urged residents in affected regions to stay cautious.
