After the unification of eight political parties and groups, including the CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (Unified Socialist), the new party will be named the “Nepali Communist Party.” The decision was approved during the final meeting of the National Convention Organizing Committee of the Maoist Centre held on Tuesday. According to Maoist leaders, discussions on the proposed name will also be held with other parties and groups involved in the unification. Surkhet police have arrested three individuals with illegal narcotics (brown sugar). According to the District Police Office, Surkhet, police seized a total of 15 grams and 10 milligrams of brown sugar, Rs. 101,330 in cash, and other materials from various locations in Birendranagar Municipality on Monday. A man died after being electrocuted while fishing in Chhabdikholaa, Byas Municipality-1, Tanahun, on Monday night. According to the District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Amit Suyal of the same locality. At around 11:45 p.m., 40-year-old Ram Bahadur Gharti, his 54-year-old brother Shukra Gharti, and Amit Suyal had connected electric wires to a power plug from Ram Bahadur’s house and used it to catch fish in the stream.
