The Nepali Congress is set to hold its office-bearers’ meeting today (Monday) at 10 a.m. at party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s private residence in Budhanilkantha. According to reports, the meeting will discuss the candidate for the chairmanship of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives, as well as issues related to Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that a completely conflict-free society is only an imaginary concept. The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), led by Ashok Rai, has decided to reshuffle its ministers in the federal government. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) General Secretary Dhawal Shumsher Rana has urged the party leadership not to engage in any activities that could affect the upcoming General Convention. Kathmandu — President Ram Sahay Prasad Paudel held a courtesy meeting with Vice President of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed diplomatic relations and exchange programs between Nepal and Vietnam. The Vietnamese delegation also participated in the meeting. Kathmandu — The mother and sister of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali from Mahendranagar held hostage by the Palestinian group Hamas, met with Nepalese President Ram Chandra Paudel.
