The government has decided to form task forces in all seven provinces to improve the salary and service conditions of nurses. A committee led by Dr. Shreekrishna Shrestha, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Health, has been formed to address the issues raised by nurses. The committee will submit a report within seven days. After closing at 2,587.17 points with a decline of 18.40 points in the previous trading day, the index increased by 1.90 points during the pre-open session, reaching 2,489.7 points. The price of gold reached Rs 258,000 per tola on Friday, marking a new record in Nepal’s bullion market. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold increased by Rs 7,100 per tola compared to the previous day, setting a new all-time high. Commercial banks have published new interest rates for the month of Kartik, showing a decline compared to Asoj. The average maximum interest rate on individual fixed deposits has dropped from 5.46% in Bhadra to 5.20% in Kartik, marking a 0.26 percentage point decrease. Out of the 20 commercial banks currently operating, 14 have reduced their interest rates, leading to the overall decline in the average rate.
